THIS ASSESSMENT OPTION INCLUDES A SCHEDULED LIVE SESSION WITH A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST.

This product is the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) intended for Security Professionals and Agencies or Academies or other individuals requiring the MMPI-3 inclusive of a scheduled live interview session with the clinical psychologist.  The new MMPI-3 is the most up-to-date personality assessment available for mental health, medical, forensic, and public safety settings. The test is modernized for today’s clients and provides new norms and updated items and scales.

Harkins Security now provides access to the required MMPI Assessment  in accordance with HB 3424 Effective September 1, 2023.

Caption: Relating to the eligibility and training requirements for commissioned security officers and personal protection officers.

•  Beginning January 1, 2024
•  Requires that self-defense tactics are included as part of the basic training course for commissioned security officers and personal protection officers.
•  Handgun proficiency and self-defense courses must be completed in-person with an on-site instructor approved by the Department.
•  All original and renewing applicants for a commissioned security officer license are required complete the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI).

This MMPI is facilitated by licensed Clinical Psychologist and will perform the assessment and provide documentation required for the application process submission to Texas Department of Public Safety in accordance with his findings.  The Clinical Psychologist will also conduct a live telehealth interview with the individual.
